Water early in the morning (5 a.m. to 10 a.m.) to resist disease, have higher water pressure, and less wind.

Best to water in the morning, because that is when you will have less evaporization and then your grass can dry out and heat up in the noon time

No argument here.

I cant argue with my colleagues. Keep in mind that watering after sunset up to midnight/2am will allow the most water to soak but it will leave the lawn damp for longer fueling fungal growth. Early am maximizes the water available but allow the lawn to dry out minimizing diseases.
