One zone won't turn off.

Richdel 1" jar top sprinkler won't turn off. It runs at about 1/4 the normal flow. I have eliminated the controller by unplugging it. The zone still comes on when I pressurize, but at about 1/4 the usual rate. I can power and run the zone, or run the zone manually by cracking the bleed screw. Normal flow.

I have replaced the diaphragm, and tried a new valve top. I tried taking off the top and did a visual inspection for debris. Then I cracked the master cutoff valve open, and let the needle flush out. I have stuck a safety pin down the needle, but it find no obstructions. When I reassemble (yes, the spring is in) and pressurize, the whole valve+line shakes for a few seconds and then I am back to 1/4 flow.

I tried a double spring in case the original spring was too compressed. No change. :(

Suggestion would be most welcome. Cutting the valve out and replacing it would be an unwelcome project.
