Sprinkler system doesn’t work & I don’t know why!

I’m a noob when it comes to this issue because I’ve never dealt with it before and I need help! I can’t explain what’s wrong but I have pictures and I’m hoping someone could help/guide me through the process.

You need a pro to look at your system. It's missing parts and wiring. The water is also shut off.

I'd replace those three valves then turn the water back on.
Hook the wires up to the new valves.

No backflow protection is what's definitely wrong. Antisyphon valves could replace the existing valves. (if they can be located so as to be higher in elevation than the sprinkler heads)
