Adding a Drip System to a Raised Bed

I have an existing lawn irrigation system with a pressure vacuum breaker device (3/4" Febco 765) placed 2' above the highest sprinkler head per local code. I'd like to add a zone to water some plants that are located in a raised flower bed that would be around 1' above the PVB. Do I need to move the PVB, or can I install a simple check valve on the new zone to stop water from the higher area from flowing backwards?

Raise the PVB.
