Low Pressure, then vacuum

Just started the system for the year. Zone 1 starts at about 75% of normal pressure for 2 minutes, stops and then a vacuum forms. Well keeps running and then overheats. Zone 2 works fine. Do not see a massive leak anywhere in the yard. Where do I start?

You need to be able to throttle down the well output. If you don't have a manual valve to accomplish this with, this is your time to add one.
