Rotors vs rotator or rotary

Rotors (Hunter PGP or SRM) vs. rotator (Hunter) or rotary (Rainbird) sprays, what are your thoughts? The specific area is 36' by 31', residential. Most designers/installers have a rule of over "x" (usually 20') number of feet they default to rotors, have rotary sprays changed the game for "medium sized areas"?

36'x31' is a pretty good size for 3/4" rotors. I'd probably go with a Toro T5-RS or a Rainbird 5000.
