Irrigation pump shuts off when pressure gets to 62 - 64 psi. then restarts when pressure drops to 30 --40 psi

Just had this irrigation pump installed. Franklyn 1/2 hp with 20 gallon tank. Noticed when a zone was on pressure would slowly go up to 64 psi and the pump would shut off until pressure dropped to 35 and it would cycle back on again. this would happen every 30 to 40 seconds

Is this on a well, or city water?

Your zones aren't matching the pump output. The pressure switch controlling the pump can be adjusted for a higher cutoff point, and a balance achieved.
