Replacing old Toro 264 Valves

Hi all!

Looking for some guidance on how to replace my old toro valves. One has a female outlet that is attached to the poly pipe via a barbed fitting. The other valve has the barbed fitting for the outlet. Inlet is from a PVC manifold. How do I get these valves offf without cracking the PVC and without damaging the poly? My valve box is under a shrub so I don’t have a ton of room to work with and I’d really hate to do a complete overhaul.

Forgot to note I’ll be replacing with Orbit 1” valves with female inlet/outlets. How do I get the old ones off and then once off, how do I get the new ones on? Work from the manifold out and jam the barb into the PVC and hope for the best?
