Replacing a jet pump with a non-jet pump

I replaced my jet pump with a non-jet pump and having pressure problems. I have a 2 inch PVC with a one and a quarter inside of the 2 inch going into the well, do I need to take out the one in a quarter inch pipe since my new pump is not a jet pump? Please any advice

Can you explain why you made this switch? What make and model of pump did you replace?
