Installing a drip system for the first time.

I am trying to install a drip system for the first time and have a very hard time inserting the .700 tube end into the pvc adapter or any of the compression parts. Is there a trick to do this or is it always this hard to get started? I also made a mistake when I ordered my parts and ordered part 15-167 for PVC to tubing. All of my tubing is .700 OD. I am assuming that there is no way the .670 will work on .700 tubing.

Thanks for your help.

Part numbers without a brand name are somewhat untraceable.

Some of confusion derives from the existence of both 17mm and 16mm tubing. Since I'm assuming you were referring to the DIG # 15-167, it can be seen that you really needed to order DIG # 15-013 to fit the .700 OD tubing. The compression adapters are size-specific.
