This doesn't really help any. The only people who are going to see it are the regulars who come here. We know how things work. New people get lost. They'll never see this post. There needs to be something on the main forum page to click on. "Ask new question here". Something so simple a blind circus monkey could figure it. I come to this site everyday. In my opinion the site is confusing and frustrating for a lot of new people.

Need advise with a broken sprinkler pipe!

Hi, im new to this and know absolutly nothing about my sprinkler system except how to turn it on.. I was digging up a tree last week and thought I hit a tree root when it was infact a pvc pipe, i heard a crack and water started gushing out. After turning off the main water and carefully digging around the pipe I found the pvc pipe right next to the valve was cracked. Any advise on how to repair? Do I need to replace the valve or just the pipe? Any help would be greatly appreciated! I uploaded a photo.

It's really hard to tell from that picture but I think I see glue. If the pipe's glued into that valve you'll need a new valve.

lobrebon,
You have a bit of a mess. There is not enough pipe coming out of the "T" to allow you to cut and put in a new fitting. Just from the picture it looks like the T will have to come out. You will also need new fittings on the other side of the valve.

If you do it yourself, first look at this ARTICLE. It will give you some idea of what's available for repairs.

Let us know how it goes.

Check the programming of the controller. Does it have the correct date and year?

Toro Lawn Master II

Hello
I am installing a new Toro Lawn Master II Landscape Timer to replace an Intermatic Timer on a six zone sprinkler system with one valve switch for all six zones. I am unclear from the directions how to wire the switch from the control box to the switch. Can there be just the Com and MV connections to the switch or do I have to wire the switch using all six of the S1-thru S6 terminals? If so do I just splice S1-S6 wires together and run one wire back to the switch with the common?
Thanks for any clarity.
