Manual zone start doesn't work in all zones

I just had a Hunter ICC installed last week. It's come on at the 3am time as expected but I'm not out there watching all the zones kick in. This weekend was dry so decided to manually water zone 5. Worked fine on Saturday and Sunday. But today the zone would not turn one. I tried a few others randomly and only zone 7 would start. I have 9 zones. Need advise before calling the service company to come out again and charge me more money.

Check the ground wire at the valves and the controller. It would be bad business for a guy to charge you to come out if he just installed a new controller. My opinion.

They are coming out this week to take a look. And... the girl who set the appointment said I wouldn't be charged. Let's hope not - I'm a single mom and cash isn't growing on my trees. (Mostly because they haven't been watered.) lol
