I ask you: IF YOU COULD GIVE ONE PIECE OF ADVICE ON IRRIGATION, WHAT WOULD IT BE?
What would you tell the new guy?
What would you like to tell the pros?
Design? Hardware? Finance? Service? Repair?

What have you seen?

Collecting hints/tips/advice on the use of flex tubing and assorted connections for irrigation systems. In my area, Houston, Texas, all work is done with PVC. I know that in freeze zone areas flex plays a major part in the systems. Input on problems/advantages/brand issues/tips and tricks appreciated.

Why aren't people converting to Drip irrigation?

We are not seeing the change over to drip/micro irrigation that we were expecting after the drought last year.
Considering the water restrictions in place last year and the money savings of drip I'm surprised.
Reasons for the reluctance to change? -

A controller can make your life easier...but only if it's easy to operate and performs as promised. There are numerous choices. Look here to help narrow down your decision. (Residential vs Commercial, Indoor vs Outdoor, # of Zones, Flexibility, Brand).

What kind of sprinklers should you use, pop-up sprays or rotors? It depends on what's being watered. There are 3 basic sprinkler types: gear driven/impact single stream rotary sprays, fixed pattern sprays, and bubblers. Is it better to use a certin brand?
