All 10 Sprinkler zones won't turn on

It could be a problem with the wiring. Try seeing if the volts are going down one wire and back up the others. Disconnect the in coming wire from the controller. You'll know rather quickly if it's the timer or the wiring. Make sure you're touching the common and not the pump terminal.

Water not reaching zone valve

No water at all? Then there's most likely a shut off valve for that one zone only? Maybe take the bonnet off and see if there's water.

Activated system and mutilple heads across several zones leaking water

The zones are leaking because too many of them are open at the same time. Possibly all of them. That's why I wanted you to turn them off with the flow controls which you don't have. Can you turn the sprinkler heads off? That would accomplish the same thing. I know it's a big job but you're running out of easy options. Ugh 32 valves. You might want to call a guy. Maybe it's something simple.

Valve opens but no output, loud stuttering

I'm not sure what an APR214 is but I think i know what you're talking about. Buy a whole new valve and swap out all the parts. Make sure you get APR and not DPR. If you want to post a pic of the valve, go to www.tinypic.com, upload your pic, then cut n paste the "forum" code to your post.

Activated system and mutilple heads across several zones leaking water

Try turning all the valves off with the flow controls. Then turn them back on one at a time. Each valve should close before moving to the next one. If not there's a problem upstream of the valves. Maybe a shut off valve is broken so it's not open all the way. Maybe there's a pressure regulator that's broken. Try the flow controls first.

PVC dirty on inside

I wouldn't worry much about it if there isn't any grit. You should be able to just flush it out if there is. I had an engineer one time tell me that he knows more about sprinklers than me and they tried to flush out a 6 inch pipe but couldn't get it totally clean. He was comparing that to a 1" pipe. I'm like, why did you call me if you know more than me. < Thinking to self. He never saw me again. You should be using primer and glue. The primer will clean the outside of the pipe before gluing. Ju...

Sprinkler not working

Either the sprinkler isn't on that line or there's a clog somewhere. I have a customer with a straight line of 8 pop ups. They're about 8 feet apart on the edge of his grass. The second sprinkler is on another zone. Dig it up again. Are there street ells? Sometimes those can get completely clogged. Any fitting can get totally clogged. I've seen it a few times. Especially if there was a broken pipe or a broke off sprinkler and a bunch of dirt went down the line. Does the pipe run in a straight li...

What wire nut to use

The small size will work well. The common wires might need the next size up. Or split them up into 3 wires per nut.

Hunter X-core controller

Once the buttons on a controller stop working it's time to replace the whole thing. But with that said, since you're going to replace it, maybe take it apart and see if you can clean under where the button makes contact then put some dialectic grease on it. See if you can fix it. If you have to buy a new one, here's an option, hunter x-core I'm starting to install more X-Cores. I really like it. I installed an outdoor seems like 10 years ago. I saw it the other day. Still looks mint.

It sounds like you're doing it right. It must be stuck. Cause the manual says to "gently" open the unit. Keep trying.

Low sprinkler pressure. Help!

What does it say on that black tag? Moody something? Is there a model number? Basically, anything you can make out would be helpful. Maybe break the tag off to see it better.

Sprinkler System Issue

Sounds like you've misidentified zone 3. The valve you changed is really zone 2. No worries, we've all done it.

Pressure issues...completely lost

Quoted from "Wet_Boots" Quoted from "mrfixit" Try this Click on me. See if you can activate the solenoid using three 9 volt batteries. Do it at the valve. That 'activator' might better be made from only two 9-volt batteries. Solenoids can have a must-operate spec of 18 VAC, and one manufacturer gave a spec of their valve solenoids being operable with 12 VDC (for solar-recharged lead/acid battery-powered controllers) Then why are controllers transformers 24 volts? Maybe the manufacturer means a ...

Take the valve back apart to see if you've squashed the nipple in there or if the diaphragm is turned. It's easy to do with that valve.

Rotator Sprays not working after winter

If the valve is on and flowing but the sprinklers don't work, there must be a breach in the line somewhere. Let it run longer and keep looking. Might take 1/2 hour to show itself. Sometimes the leak is under cement and shows itself a long way from the area where the sprinklers are. Sometimes the water goes down a gopher hole and comes up in the neighbors yard. Sometimes the pipes are deep and the ground is sandy so it takes a long time to show. Look for dark green spots in the lawn from it getti...

Pressure issues...completely lost

Unscrew one of the sprinklers to see if there's pressure. Maybe every single one is clogged up. They could be on marlex ells which can completely clog if there's been a broken pipe. Could be a clogged pipe. Maybe you've installed the valve backwards. Look for the arrow. Completely take the bleeder screw out. Does the valve come on fully?

Zone 4 Issue

Do you have a voltmeter? Make sure the time is putting out about the same voltage as the working zones. Now check the ohms to see if the wire is cut. Infinity means the wire is cut. A higher than normal reading means there's a bad splice. It could also be the solenoid. The reading should be similar to a solenoid that's working. Troubleshoot the wiring < Click on this
