Fittings for testing pressure on backflow

My system runs from the water meter to pressure regulator to the backflow preventer. I'd like to test the pressure after the backflow preventer so that I know what pressure is feeding into the system, but I'm not sure which fittings I need to do so. The test cocks look like 1/8" male flare, but the 1/8" flare fitting I tried didn't seem to fit. What is the recommended way / fittings / pressure guage to test the pressure from a test cock?

How do I determine if I have enough GPM to add new heads to this zone?

The system was designed and installed by a local sprinkler company. The 13 GPM of the zone is what is listed on the paperwork for the system. This afternoon I measured the static pressure at the closest hose faucet at 60 PSI, although the sprinkler system is tapped into the main line before it goes into the house, and it also has a pressure regulator on it so i'm not entirely sure the pressure to the system itself. The flowrate I measured at 10 GPM at the same faucet. I want to add 2 heads, both...

How do I determine if I have enough GPM to add new heads to this zone?

I would like to add a few new heads to a zone in my sprinkler system. I'm not completely sure how to determine if it has the flow rate capacity to add a few more heads. What more do I need to measure and calculate to determine if I can add the extra heads? Sprinkler Design Paperwork says: 1" Class 200 PVC main lines1/2" Class 315 PVC lateral linesZone is designed at 13 GPM I Observed / MeasureZone has 13 heads which are a combination of 8QFLT, 8HFLT, 15Q, 15H, 15VAN, and HE-VAN-10 nozzlesI measu...
