Rainbird ESP Auto Run Initiation

Ok, try this. Go out to the controller, disconnect the common wire. Now change the START time to a couple of minutes in the future. Does it come on? Maybe the number 1 solenoid's shorting it out. Make sure the date is correct and you're on the day is on for watering. And yes, you want the dial on auto. If it's not working, do a factory reset. If that doesn't fix it then the controller's shot. Is this controller new to you?

Rainbird ESP Auto Run Initiation

Is there a rain sensor that's not allowing the controller to run? Can you turn the valves on manually at the controller? I was wondering if you visually see the controller not starting or if you just assume it's not coming on because the valves didn't come on? Which would indicate a problem such as the water's turned off or the common wire's broken or loose. Maybe a bad master valve. I have people tell me all the time that it didn't come on because the cement's not wet.

One sprinkler head continues to spray in a zone

If it stops in a couple of minutes then it's just draining out the lowest point. If it's a 24 hr a day problem then it's the valve for sure. Most likely the diaphragm. Which model valve are we talking about?

LOW WATER PRESSURE IN ZONE LINES

I find that when the pressure is low on everything it's usually a pressure regulator gone bad. Could be that a shut off valve isn't on all the way. Have any plumbing done lately? Check the valve in the meter box as well. Could be a filter on the line needs cleaning. Could be all 5 valves are bad. Open one with them with the bleeder screw and see if you get more pressure. Check the flow controls to make sure someone didn't turn them down.

ZONE 2 VALVE STAYS OPEN NO MATTER WHAT

I wouldn't buy a valve yet until we know what you have installed. Some valves you can rebuild, some you can't. Your system is 25 years old. Who knows what the heck you have in there. Plastic? Brass? But if and when you do take the valve apart or replace it. Don't forget to turn the water off first.

SSS 900i Shuts off after a few seconds

Do you have a master valve? If so, check the solenoid on that valve.

Pool Company Cut 10 electrical wires

Do you have a question? lol Since some of the valves come on the master valve wires are ok. If you want to double check to make sure there aren't two master valves, you could move the master valve wire to the number 1 slot by itself then turn on number 1. If none of the wires give you voltage at the break then the master valve wire is good. Put the wire back. It should be simple from here. I'm guessing there's only 1 common wire. Figure out which one. The rest are zone wires. Just use trial and ...

Pop-up/pressure problem

It sounds like the seals on the sprinklers are worn out. Replace the sprinklers or the seals and see if that fixes you up.

ZONE 2 VALVE STAYS OPEN NO MATTER WHAT

Since your son unplugged the timer and the sprinkler still didn't shut off, the problem is with the valve. Figure out which valve is number 2 and repair, adjust or replace it. Maybe post a pic of the valve. Go to www.tinypic.com, upload your picture there, then cut n paste the "forum" code here.

Pool Company Cut 10 electrical wires

I should have asked for a pic right at the beginning. I knew better. Looks like you have 13 valves and a master valve or a pump. I see 4 white wires. Only one is hooked to the common terminal. I only see 3 white wires in the open trench. I see about 6 red wires. So you have wires going to two different locations. You probably have two solenoids connected together on the 88. Maybe it's the pump. I'm clueless on what a pump would ohm out at. It sounds like you have Rainbird valves. Do you have a p...

Hunter PC controller will not shut off.

Check the start times. On A B C programs. You only need ONE start time then the valves will run in sequence and shut off. If there are multiple start times which overlap, the controller will run all 12 stations then start over again.

Pool Company Cut 10 electrical wires

Can you post a picture of the wiring at the controller? Is there two white wires hooked up to the common terminals and one white to number 3? No other whites yes? Do this, turn on number one for an hour or whatever so it doesn't turn off while you're working on it. Now put one lead to one of the white wires where they're cut. Then one to each of the red until you get a reading of 24-26V or so. That should be the common wire and the number one wire. Now try that number 1 red wire with the other t...

Errr3 displays on my control panel

If you swapped the wires at the solenoids you're still going to get an err3. If you swapped them at the timer it should say err2. Err2 would mean the wiring's bad. Try a factory reset and see if you still get the err3.. Try disconnecting the number 3 wire totally from the timer, still get an err?

Water shooting out of irrigation box

Are the threads broken off? A cap goes on there with hose threads. If the threads are broken off you'll need to replace the whole filter. Unless you're lucky and can find the exact filter and just swap out parts. Home Depot does sell Wye Filters. Is there a brand name on it?

Switch the wires at the timer or you might be bypassing the problem.

Errr3 displays on my control panel

Switch the wires at the controller. 2 for 3 and see if the problem moves. See if the timer says err2 or if it still says err3. I'm assuming it'll say err2 but if it doesn't, there's a problem with the timer. Maybe do a factory reset and see if that clears it up. If it does say err2, then the wiring is bad. Like the casing is off of the wires and the common wire is touching the number 3 wire. Is there an unused wire you can hook up in place of wire 3?
