Union on supply side?

Yeah, not much point, except if I ever have to cut one of those manifolds out, it is one less thing, and I can add more if/when I ever put it back. So that one was easy to put, because there was plenty of room on either side. So I put it.

Union on supply side?

Can I use a union like this: https://www.lowes.com/pd/Homewerks-Worldwide-1-in-dia-PVC-Sch-40-Union/50160559 ...on the supply side of a manifold? I was thinking it would be nice to have the ability to remove it, to work on the valves if ever needed.

Repairing a break at the valve

Well, I found the problem: Not sure if this is the right forum to ask this but... Next step is deciding to hire someone to fix it, or attempt DIY. So, what would I expect to pay for a repair. If I were to do it myself, what is the recommended approach? I'm guessing a sawzall to cut halfway up the supply side, to remove it. See if I can get the threaded part removed from the otherside and replace with a stub, clean up and splice it back in? Thanks.

Solenoid buzzes, and then hear water rushing

Okay, I had to look that up, and yes, I have something that visually matches anti-syphon on those valves. So, what's happening is water is running up to the break in the pipe, pushing some air through, which is the gurgling I hear, and then when I cut the power, the pressure reverses, and the water that was running up the pipe to the break runs back into the box. THAT makes sense. And I suspect I know where the break is - because I've got some soft topsoil in an area just behind the retaining wa...

Solenoid buzzes, and then hear water rushing

I've searched online for a few days and haven't found an answer to this one, so trying here. I've got one zone that is not working. When I try to run it, I hear a buzzing noise, which I'm guessing is the solenoid? And I hear some gurgling noises out of the sprinkler heads, as if the water is trying to get up there. And then when I turn it off, I hear water rushing somewhere. And after that, when I look in the solenoid box, it is full of water. It is really odd. Has anyone ever heard of that befo...
